Helping people to develop new skills and grow in confidence is at the heart of the PWLTP. Watch this video to find out what recent trainee, Rachel Priest, thought about her two days at The Hub.

What can you expect from our courses?

We use a blended approach to learning on the PWLTP. We know how important practical skills are and we don't want you confined to a classroom. Through a combination of guided learning, self-study and on-the-job experience, you'll gain the knowledge you need to begin your journey into the world of logistics. Each course is tailored to industry needs and delivered by professionals, so you can be sure you're gaining the right skills for the job.

The program currently offers two elements 'entry' and 'development':

Entry - Level 2 Award in Principles of Warehousing

This program is aimed at entry level or career swappers, looking to begin their career within the logistics and supply chain sector. Particular focus is placed upon demographics and sectors of the community that have traditionally not considered a career in the sector.

Develop - Level 5 Award Logistics Leadership & Management

This program is aimed at incumbent workers who have a base level understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, but wish to develop into the leaders of the future. The program has a key focus on creating social value for learners and organisations. As such it is particularly aimed at those who may shy away from traditional academic study, and is designed to foster confidence and critical thinking in developing organizational succession planning strategies.

Large parts of the courses are delivered digitally, with our online platform accessible 24/7, wherever you are based. Flexibility is really important and we want you to feel comfortable learning when you want and how you want. The platform works on a range of different devices, including mobiles and tablets, so there's no need to have access to a computer.

We like to encourage group work, allowing you to learn from each other and hear different points of view. At the end of the courses, you'll have an industry-recognised qualification and a well-rounded learning experience, giving you a strong foundation for a career in logistics.
